Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to the questions we are most often asked about our bouquets, materials, the Design Studio and our service. If your question is not answered below, you are always welcome to write to contact@bloomgaard.com.
Our flowers and materials
What are Bloomgaard's flowers made of?
Our flowers are composed primarily of three materials, each chosen to recreate the specific flower it represents. Most of our stems are made from latex with a soft, lifelike surface. Peonies, orchids, lilies and hydrangeas are some examples. Silk is used for light, draping flowers such as poppies. Soft foam is used mainly for details and for specific stems such as amaranth. Inside every stem is a thin metal core, so the stems can be shaped and held in place exactly as you wish.
What is real touch?
Real touch materials are latex-based and chosen for their lifelike texture. They recreate the structure, lines and fall of a petal so closely that the difference is only noticed when you touch the bouquet. Even then, the surface feels remarkably close to the real thing.
What makes Bloomgaard's flowers different from ordinary artificial flowers?
We select our stems with care, chosen for how they feel, how they fall and how they hold. Our bouquets are composed in Copenhagen, and our focus is on curation rather than range. You will not find two hundred different stems with us. You will find the ones we have chosen with intention.
How long does a Bloomgaard bouquet last?
A Bloomgaard bouquet is made to last. It keeps its shape and expression as long as it is kept out of direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can fade the colours over time, so place your bouquet away from direct sunlight, or use a UV-protective spray designed for artificial plants if it will sit in a particularly sunny spot.
Can you tell the difference between Bloomgaard's flowers and real ones?
From a distance, and in everyday light, the difference is very small. Real touch materials recreate the lines, veins, structure and fall of a petal so faithfully that most people only notice when they touch the bouquet. We do not position our flowers as identical to fresh ones. They belong to their own category, made for homes that want beauty without upkeep.
Are the stems bendable?
Yes. Each stem has a thin metal core that you can bend and shape exactly as you wish. The stems hold their shape, so you can adjust the bouquet to your vase or your room.
Are Bloomgaard's flowers sustainable?
Our bouquets are an alternative to cut flowers, which are typically imported under refrigerated transport and have a short shelf life. A quality bouquet from us lasts for years, and that is a deliberate choice of permanence over constant replacement. The materials are polymers and not biodegradable in the way fresh flowers are. We do not claim certifications we cannot document.
How do I clean the bouquet?
Gently shake your flowers to remove dust, or wipe them lightly with a slightly damp cloth to keep them looking fresh.
For more stubborn dirt, you can clean carefully with a soft cloth or a cotton bud dipped in mild soapy water. For a more thorough cleaning, the flowers can be briefly dipped in lukewarm water with mild dish soap, rinsed thoroughly and air-dried.
Do the colours fade over time?
Direct and prolonged sunlight can fade the colours over time. Placed away from windows, or in indirect light, your bouquet will keep its expression for many years. If you want to place a bouquet in a particularly sunny room, a UV-protective spray for artificial plants can help preserve the colour.
Bouquets and the Design Studio
What is the Design Studio?
The Design Studio is our tool for composing your own bouquet, stem by stem. You begin by choosing a colour universe, then a green base, and build the bouquet from there with the stems you want. At the end, you see a preview before you order. Nothing can be done wrong, and you can return to your bouquet later if you want time to think.
How large is a Bloomgaard bouquet?
Our bouquets come in a wide range of sizes, because each one is composed by hand with an eye for expression and balance. On every bouquet page, you can sense the size from the photographs. In the Design Studio, you decide the volume and number of stems yourself, so the bouquet fits the room it is made for.
Can I change a bouquet after ordering?
Yes, as long as the order has not yet been packed and shipped. Write to us at contact@bloomgaard.com as soon as possible, and we will do what we can to accommodate the change. Once the bouquet has shipped, you are welcome to use our fourteen-day return policy.
What do I do if I am unsure about my choice?
Take all the time you need. In the Design Studio, you can save your bouquet and return to it later. We will send you a link to your saved bouquet, so you can take your time to consider it. You are also welcome to write to us at contact@bloomgaard.com, and we will help you compose something that suits your space.

You have fourteen days to return your order from the day you receive it. You can return any of our bouquets and stems in their original condition, including those composed in the Design Studio. Brand and commerce
Who is behind Bloomgaard?
Bloomgaard is a Danish brand founded in 2024 and based in Copenhagen. We compose curated bouquets of lifelike artificial flowers, and we run the Design Studio, where you can compose your own bouquet.
What is Studio Sale?
Studio Sale is a permanent category with a rotating selection of stems and bouquets at reduced prices. It is not a clearance of older items, but a curatorial choice. Stems move in and out of the category, and the discount is typically between fifteen and twenty-five percent. What you see in Studio Sale today may be different a month from now.
